The original, now in a private collection, was commissioned in 1912 by Captain Joseph R. DeLamar for his townhouse in New York and was later moved to his country estate "Pembroke" at Glen Cove, Long Island. The regal peacock shows off the iridescent hues of blue and green in his flowing tail on a balustrade beneath pendant wisteria.
