Rosetti's stained glass work glorifies the romance of King René of Anjo and Isabella of Lorraine, who married in 1420. King René, an author of poems and romances, established an "artists' colony" at his court in 1442. This stained glass reproduction is the first in a series from the Victoria and Albert Museum.
